3rd Bel120 Class... scanning and skimming technique

the class held at Dewan Sri Peria on wednesday 1/6/2011..


im now in bel120 class learning consoliding language skills with the lecturer Miss Zuraidah.. a.k.a Miss Zur.. thanks to her because teach me with pure sincerity.. XD i felt the learn comes to me when she teach.. i hope that Miss Zur give her bless for her teach to us and hope that we can use all her teach in our life.. in the class.. i use all my concentration to her teach.. first thing first.. the class begin with al fatihah..


The last class in this Dewan Peria, all of us did not use table.. before that we didnt relize that the class hall did not arrange as a class with table.. haha.. but today class we remember the last class and take note, all of us take each table for one person and arrange back the hall so that we can get comfortable in the class.. when Miss Zur entered then.. the class begin.. all of student relax still on the chair..


Scannning Technique

• this is a selective reading skill to locate facts and answer to specific question
• to save time you do not need to read every word on the pages
• you can scan a timetable, pages of a dictionary, charts, table etc

Skimming Technique

• reading this is a reading skill employed to obtain the general idea of a text, to find out the writers point of view and to see how the content in a passage are arranged
• when a text or a passage is too long and we have limited time, we use this technique
• when skimming, look for key words and phrases, the heading or subheading for the general idea of the passage.
